Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) is an urban fantasy action RPG developed by HoYoverse. It features real-time combat, an Agent system with elements and specialties, Bangboo companions, and roguelike Hollow exploration.

There are 44 playable agents across 5 elements (Fire, Electric, Ice, Physical, Ether) and 6 specialties (Attack, Stun, Anomaly, Support, Defense, Rupture).

Yes! Zenless Zone Zero is completely free to play on PC (Epic Games Store, HoYoPlay), PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. In-game purchases are optional and cosmetic or convenience-based.

ZZZ uses a soft pity system. On the character banner, the 5-star rate jumps from 0.6% to ~6.6% starting at pull #74, increasing each pull. ~95% of players get their S-rank by pull 82. The weapon banner soft pity starts at pull #65. If you lose the 50/50, your next S-rank is guaranteed to be the banner agent. Pity carries over between banners of the same type. If you have Pyrois (free S-rank from story), pulling Norma is highly recommended — Pyrois + Norma + Nicole is one of the best low-cost starter teams. Otherwise, wait for the next version livestream to see upcoming banners before spending Polychrome. Supports like Sunna and stunners like Dialyn are always safe investments. Pyrois + Norma + Nicole is widely recommended as the best low-cost team. It covers DPS, stun, and support roles with excellent synergy. Another strong F2P option is Soldier 11 + Koleda + Lucy. Focus on one team at first — invest in their levels, W-Engines, and Drive Discs before building a second team.

F2P players can earn approximately 12,000–15,000 Polychrome per patch (6 weeks) from daily commissions, Hollow Zero, Shiyu Defense, events, and redeem codes. New players have a massive one-time pool from story, commissions, and achievements — easily 30,000+ Polychrome. That’s enough to guarantee an S-rank agent (requires ~22,000 for hard pity).
